If you're interested in booking an appointment, please reach out via the Contact tab and include a brief description of your reason for seeking therapy.
I offer a complimentary 10-minute phone consultation to see if we’re the right fit. This call gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and helps us determine if my approach aligns with your needs.
If I’m not the best person to support you or if therapy isn’t the most suitable option at this time, I’ll help direct you to alternative resources or professionals who may be a better match.
Your first session is an opportunity to understand you and your needs. I’ll ask what brought you to therapy, your background, and any challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll define your goals - what you hope to achieve in therapy, and the best approach for moving forward.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, with the remaining 10 minutes reserved for note-taking / administration.
Psychologists are bound by a strict Code of Ethics that protects your privacy. All information shared in sessions will remain confidential unless you provide informed consent for it to be released.
There may be situations where a psychologist is required to disclose personal information, such as when there is a serious threat to an individual's safety, or due to legal obligations. These exceptions will be thoroughly explained in our first session.
A 50-minute session costs $215 for appointments between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Sessions outside these hours are $225.
You do not need a doctor’s referral to see a psychologist. However, if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from a GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session, with a maximum of 10 sessions per year. The full session fee is payable on the day, and a Medicare claim will be submitted on your behalf.
Private health insurance rebates may be available depending on your level of cover. You will need to pay the full session cost at the time of your appointment and submit a claim to your insurer.
I do not offer bulk billing.
Regular attendance is crucial for your progress, which is why I schedule appointments at the same time and frequency to maintain consistency and ensure your regular slot isn’t filled by someone else.
Due to the high demand for psychology services, I require 24 hours' notice for cancellation of an appointment.
If you need to cancel, I’ll offer Telehealth as an option or do my best to fill your slot with another client. If you cancel within 0-24 hours and I’m unable to fill the appointment, the full session fee will apply.
*Please note that cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare rebates.
